Blacktown Leisure Centre Stanhope Opening

The new Blacktown Leisure Centre at Stanhope Gardens celebrated its opening on Friday 31st January 2003 in Caribbean Carnivale style with a unique combination of laser shows, multimedia presentations, intelligent lighting, sports celebrities, local dignitaries and entertainment.
Blacktown Leisure Centre is one of Australia's most modern leisure centres and boasts Western Sydney's first wave pool. This unique feature was demonstrated at the opening by the greatest woman surfer in history, Australia's Layne Beachley (5 time world surfing champion).
Light Design Australia provided the audio visual lighting and lasers that created spectacular effects in the large pool complex of the unique venue.
Light Design Australia presented colourful laser animated shows and a spectacular beam show that wowed the party goers throughout the night. The intelligent lighting also added extra colour and a tropical atmosphere to the venue and a great backdrop to the Caribbean festival themed night, that included a live band and salsa dancers.
